I need to add the Microsoft Word 9.0 Object Library to the References in my new VB6 project. Problem: After I add it, I get a fatal error after typing: "Dim x as ". Note this is a totally new VB project with nothing else in it. I cannot Dim anything. As soon as I type the space in the above statement, the intellisense should appear, but instead I get the Vb6 message box stating: "This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down ..." This happens on more than one computer that I have tried. Has anyone see this behavior before or have any ideas on how to troubleshoot? Details: My MS Word 9.0 Object Library ref points to: c:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office\Msword9.olb. Msword9.olb is Version: 9.0.2717 on both PC's w/this problem. Both PC's are using VB6 Enterprise and both are on Windows 98 OS. Upgrading is not an option at this point. Thanks for any input!!
