Save the image path to your database and not the actual image.

ie. C:\myapp\images\photo.jpg should be stored in the database field.

The problem with saving the picture path to a database is the path can get changed or the file renamed or deleted?

You can save the picture itself to the database depending on the size of the picture it will make the database a lot bigger.
