Hi everyone

I have tried to ask on few forums already but no success so far.

I have been trying to search for the software which ''co-operates'' with icon hints - yellow windows that appear after moving the mouse cursor on them.

Many times I manually have to check several houndreds icon hints. All of those files are audio files - only mp3. While doing this, I have in purpose to find (if it/they even exist) the files (of course first i need to determinate inside which folders do i search) where their icon hints does NOT ( ! ) show the ''Duration'' line with data. But moving the cursor on each icon can be very annoying, specially if you have many of them. Files are located in many subfolders with lets say maximum 10 files in each of the subfolder so detail folder's view option won't be useful.

Everything I got so far that ''might'' be useful are those 3 lines:

ILCreateFromPath()

SHBindToParent() to IShellFolder2

IShellFolder2::GetDetailsEx() to get PSGUID_AUDIO & PIDASI_TIMELENGTH

Firstly I had no idea what this could be. Then I was doing some research on the google and found that it could be related with win32 api. However, no matter if it is or not, I still don't know what to do with those 3 lines - where to paste them, where to save, what extension, how to use.

It might be correct, might not.

So if I could please someone to check this or to suggest me some other solution for my issue.

Hopfully I added the topic to the right section of the forum.

Thank you and best wishes to everyone.
