Hi all,

I want to use one third party user control (ocx) file in visual basic. I have registered it using "regsvr32". but when I am selecting it in the components tab, it says "<ocx> could not be loaded".

Can the owner of this ocx (i dont whose is that) prevent someone using it ? how to over come this ?

I think you are missing a licence dll, which should be shipped with the ocx. Or the ocx could be corrupted or it may not be usable with VB!

Select your solution!!!

Hi,

Thanks for your comments.

I have a software setup which uses this ocx file. But, i dont know which is the associated DLL for this. There are number of DLLs, OCXes used for this project.

This ocx contains the complete VB text box, command button, grid etc. rewritten with more properties and methods. thats why i liked it. i wanted to use it for one more project.

is there a to find out the dll ?

It's not license information. If it was license info then would have got...

I think you have registered it properly or else...

Upload the OCX here, let us try loading it.

Install the software which has that OCX file then try loading it. Even after that you can't load it then...
