Learn Modem Commands, modem communication methods and other things associated with MSComm control with the help of this project. MultiComm is a communication software which connects two computers, using a phoneline and a modem, and allows you to use just any software using the MultiComm ActiveX control, between the two computers.(This does not require you to connect to the internet). The zip file contains source code for the main program, ActiveX control and an example (M-Chat). Other softwares using the MultiComm ActiveX can be downloaded from our website. Why, you can create softwares to run over MultiComm and submit it to our site itself ! Why MultiComm is useful: 1)Only one of the persons communicating pays for the phone call (Local telephone calls are free in some countries). 2)You don't even have to pay for internet access if you just want to communicate with another computer in your locality. 3)When you e-mail your friend, and send a file as attachment, it takes a lot of time to upload + download the attachement.(Leaving out the time to connect). Using IP to IP transfer clients is worse, when your connection speed ranges from 5-10 Kbps. MultiComm uses modem compression and K56flex modulation to give blistering transfer rates. 4)You won't have any virus threats as no third party client can connect to your computer when you're connected to a computer. 5)You can build your own applications to run over the connection.
