hi all...
i m new to this site n i really liked this site... ite really nice...

well i m developing a project in which u can take snaps from the webcam and then use that snap in ur project... i mean i need to access webcam in VB itself n capture image through VB only...

and secondly how can u send signals to device attatched to lpt or parallel ports.. for this u have to first of all recognise how many ports are there in ur system and then send signals to that port....

any one can help me??.. i'll be really thankfull to u all...

Using the webcam is easy, just a matter of a few API calls. Here's an example I found that should help you out:

I've never worked with the LPT port before, but here are some examples for that:
