LongPtr is not a true data type because it transforms to a Long in 32-bit environments, or a LongLong in 64-bit environments. Using LongPtr enables writing portable code that can run in both 32-bit and 64-bit environments.



I don't think LongPtr is compatible with VB6.

The thing is that this code was written in Excel from the beginning, then implementet in Visual Bassic 6 in Visual Studio.

You access the dialog box by selecting Tools/References from the menu bar. Select a reference to the Internet Explorer object library.
