I want to create a formula or a conditional format in Excel that will allow me to examine a date and see if it is 1 year past the current date. And turn the cell Red. Any help is appreciated.

What you need to do is highlight the cells you want formatted. Then select 'Conditional formatting' from the 'Format' menu. Change your three condition fields to the following:'Cell Value Is' & 'greater than' & '=TODAY()+365'. Make sure the word TODAY is in all capitals. Sometimes Excel will put quotes around the formula, if it does you'll need to delete them.
