Hi Harry. Well for making a first-person shooter game in VB is going to be very slow in operation. You can get away with it if you use DirectX but you're still going to stuggle. FPS games aren't made using VB they use C# or C++. I see you've posted in C# do you use it?
Keith http://www.martin2k.co.uk/forums/ I've been programming with VB for 12 years. Started with VB4 16bit Pro, VB5 Pro, VB6 Pro/Enterprise and now VB3 Pro. But I'm no expert, I'm still learning. |

| Oh... wait, so you're saying that for more graphical-intensive games, C# would be the better solution?
I'm debating on which programming language to learn in order to be more diversified. Which one would you choose?

Yes, C# or C++ are going to be a lot faster depending on what type of game you are making.

| Thanks a lot, Keith. I'll probably have to pick up a C++ book and begin dabbling through the concepts. To say its intimidating might be an understatement! lol...
