about my counter and date

Hi good day to all. I'm a beginner of vb6. Right now I'm doing my first project which is the Sales System of a resto bar. I encounter some errors though this is just a minimal but I'm already stack in this part. This is about my counter as well as displaying the totals sales in descending order. The Code of my counter that I make doesn't work again and also in displaying the total sales in descending order. anybody can help me on this....

How do you think VB is going to fare in the coming recession?

I'm asking this question because a coworker of mine feels very strongly that careers in VB are going to do exceptionally well even during the recession. I'm not sure how I feel about this, but I'm brushing up on my skills anyway, just in case. If these stats are accurate (specifically the chart) then things are looking pretty promising.

Just curious what others think.

I have an old K7VZA mobo and today after clearing the cmos by using JP1 jumper the computer won't boot and i get 4 long beeps and then it shuts down automatically.
I have tried the following:
- set the jumper used to clear the bios multiple times in [CLEAR CMOS] position and then back to [NORMAL] position;
- removed any PCI cards, HDD, Floppy Disk Drive and left only the cpu, the agp card and one stick of ram;
- the cpu fan is connected properly to CPUFAN1 power connector and is working;
- i have removed the battery on the mobo and kept it out for a few minutes;
- the bios write protect jumper is set to short pins 1 - 2 which means [DISABLED].
Still no luck.
The bios was flashed some years ago when i have installed an amd athlon cpu and anything went ok.
As i said anything worked good today until i have removed the creative sound blaster pci card and cleared the cmos settings so the onboard sound will be enabled again.
I would really apreciate any help. Thank you.

How Password Case Sensitivity Affects Import and Upgrade

What happens when Website Design Company export some users from a previous database where the password is case insensitive into 11G? The case-insensitive passwords in these accounts remain case insensitive, even if the 11G system has turned on password case sensitivity. This makes sense because otherwise old users may not be able to log on from a previously working script or client program. This, however, will change when the user changes his or her password.

You can find users who have case sensitive or case insensitive passwords by querying the DBA_USERS view. The PASSWORD_VERSIONS column in this view indicates the release in which the password was created. For example:

USERNAME PASSWORD_VERSIONS

The passwords for accounts jones, adams, and clark were originally created in Release 10g and then reset in Release 11g. Their passwords, assuming case sensitivity has been enabled, are now case sensitive, as is the password for preston. However, the account for blake is still using the Release 10g standard, so it is case insensitive. Once he changes his password, it will become case sensitive and more secure.

Users' passwords in Oracle 11G database become case sensitive by default. Regular user and SYSDBA/SYSOPER user's password case sensitivity can be controlled independently. If you have a script with inconsistent password cases, the script may stop working with 11G even though it works fine with previous releases. To learn more about this topic, read "Security Guide".

I have created a menu which has a passworded admin area in it. The main menu has a max of 10 buttons which loads various applications and this works fine. What I am trying to do is create an options menu within this admin area it will list the buttons on the front menu each will have a checkbox beside it. if the checkbox is ticket or unticked the buttons on the front will be shown or not and there will be a save option so these will be remembered so if the program is closed it will know what to show when the main menu is restarted. Can someone please advise me the best way of doing somthing like this "Please......!!"

Proxy help

I made a script and all you do is go to these proxy sites and copy the url into the proxy address bar and click go. It will automaticly add it into the database so you don't have to.

Its that simple. I know that there is alot of proxie's out there and that I can get all of them. Also id the proxy allready exists in the DB then you will get some kind of error saying "This proxy has allready been added to the DB" in red text. If you don't get that then you should get "Proxy has been added to the DB" in green text.

You can take your time with it. Do it when ever you want to.

Like I said I know that there is no way I can do all of this.

Also after this is done I will even give you all a copy to use on your sites.

I know you must hate it when you ban somone and the just register a million of times so they can just flame at you and flame the members and stuff. Thats another reason why I want to do this.

If I get alot of posts saying that you would like to help me out with this then I will post the URL to use.

Like I said its that EZ all you have to do is go the the proxy site,Post the URL that I gave you,Click on go or what ever they have to allow you yo surf. It will then Etner the Proxies IP in to the DB.

No http,php,etc needed to do this.

After reading a post from Wayne it suddenly dawned on my feeble old brain that I've been giving credits for a sub named 'Sleep' to Mark. While Mark has given me plenty, that sub came from Wayne. It can be found scattered among a few forums where I posted it. I renamed it 'Pause' Sub as to not confuse it with the Sleep API.

BTW: I have found this little sub to be the most useful and most used (especially for testing) sub in my arsenal. I never seem to run out of things to use it for!

I need some advice maybe from people who have gotten their degrees and know stuff about computer programming degrees and what employers look for. I want to talk to some different companies about getting a computer programming degree at this college and if its good or not. If you know some large companies that I could search for I'd appreciate it.

The reason I'm having trouble is I read this article on my college and it being sued for misleading its students. Apparently people would get their associates there and try to transfer to another college and none of their credits would transfer over. Apparently they were told they would have no problem transfering. I was planning on getting my bachelor's in Computer Information Science. Very computer programming heavy, I'm told. I just started there so I haven't spent a lot of money. I'm concerned because if their associates degrees are worthless when transfering to other colleges, then how good are their bachelors and stuff for getting good jobs? The college is Florida Metropolitan University or FMU.
Not sure if companies would take the time to tell me if a degree at this college would be worth hiring or not. I believe its ACICS accredited. The level of school there is very low. The hardest math on their placement test was dividing fractions no algebra. I think any middle schooler could probably have passed their test. Also the classes, even though I'm only in the first 2, are suspiciously easy.

Anyways any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm young and a little unknowledgable about this stuff and don't really know anyone to ask. I feel like if I ask the school they won't tell me the truth.

I understand a Flow Charter as being able to go thru my program and make a Flow Chart of it. Is this correct? Secondly, I need a way of figuring out what calls what at what time. How do you do this? I downloade some trial versions but I still haven't figured out how to use them. I want to be able to have a quick way of going thru my program and finding at a glance who calls what and be able to follow it quickly. I hope this is clear enuff!Could you recomend a cheap Flow Charter?
