it's for controlling the wave / mic / total volume sliders and the mute function for each control.
For now, I still use VB6, but I'm thinking of upgrading to .NET (not sure yet)So if you could also provide me with information for .NET also, it would be great.

I tried you link, but it's not controlling the Master (system) volume. I've been looking on the web, but so far all the examples I tested, they only control the vb6 app volume.
In the attachement you will see which slider I want to control within Windows 7

Yeah Keith, that's weird. I can't imagine how a new (VB Project) slider could or would be created by VB or Windows. The API is just supposed to access the existing Windows Audio controls. ________________________________________________________________
