| Hello...... I am working on SQL Server 2000. I have a database that has almost 150 tables. I need to develop a report in excel. For this purpose i need to fetch data from my database and display the same in excel.
After doing this i need to ensure that no one can edit the data that i have fetched. So somehow i need to lock the grid of the excel sheet in which i have displayed the report result. Cant do this........What to do?

| Are you wanting to do this from Excel, SQL Server or VS? It's been quite a few years, but at one time I created a template that was linked to SQL Server. When opened(I had saved it with password protection) the sheets would populate with the data, formatted just as I wanted.

My father had an unpleasant issue with excel document. I advised him a tool, which to my surprise aided him quickly. Above it he thanked me a lot and I believe that such tool might be curious for solving similar propositions - how to recovery corrupted Excel file. |
