yeah you get the posts like Hacker post in General VB, that topic should have been deleted by a mod/admin. at least a mod/admin should have said something to him.

Also having constantly online mods would be good so that they move/sort the forums, as Booze said anything to do with VB gets posted in the VB general forum.

i have been here around the same time as booze maybe a bit less and i rember at the old forums the "story" thread. we used to get many of people replying. the last time we tried it here we just had all the regulars posting.

A lot have people have lost interest, i have to say that im losing interest in VB, im just about to start my career in Networking and VB will become a even smaller part of my life.

something needs to be done. i dont think adding mods would fix it, it will help but there needs to be more Conversation first for mods to be needed mods need posts to moderate. maybe a tutorial Section?

Maybe when the A1vbcode upgrade comes, you need to send an email out to all registered users to come back and see the new forums, i for one would post more if there was more conversation.

I would recommend one of the following for a mod position if there is going to be one.

- Boooze
- PSO
- Mark T - Has a lot of Quality posts and he is very bright (as with other 2)

Thanks for the compliment before Booze but im not online enough, and im not "god like" with VB, both you and PSO and Mark T are equall if not better at VB, if only there was a way to Share one user for a mod, because we all live around the world, me Australia, booze England and PSO America.

EDIT

i have just had a look, there are 569 members waiting for activation, some from as far back as 26/6/2004

I found out a while back that I'm not supposed to be here:
lol

I think Mark T is best choice because not only is he seemingly humble and patient, but he actually never really posts a wrong reply, which is something I'm pretty darn good at lol

There is a topic with useful VB links on M2k.

Thanks Anasazi.

Keith

I've been programming with VB for 15 years. Started with VB4 16bit Pro, VB5 Pro, VB6 Pro/Enterprise and now VB3 Pro. But I'm no expert, I'm still learning.

Object-oriented programming (OOP) is a programming paradigm that uses "objects" and their interactions to design applications and computer programs.
