ASP Problem with oracle reserved words while insertion time.

I am trying to insert record into the oracle from asp that table contains date field (as field name and data type is date/Time), whenever I am trying to insert record in to that table from asp it is saying table or view doesn't exists. here I am giving the correct data,parameters and table name . same query when I was trying to insert in a database its executing successfully from Toad.

Please suggest me.

Which one is best ?

Thanks to everyone and to this site,because i am getting more information about the software and hardware.This information are more helpful to me.I am thinking you don't need to different Photography sections, you don't need to list 15 railroads on the Class 1 section. Just put one Category that says Class 1 railroads. For the tourist Railroads and Museums section just put the one Category that says "Tourist Railroads and Museums". You know where I am getting at with this

Does this website really need 30 or so categories? I am thinking you don't need to different Photography sections, you don't need to list 15 railroads on the Class 1 section. Just put one Category that says Class 1 railroads. For the tourist Railroads and Museums section just put the one Category that says "Tourist Railroads and Museums". You know where I am getting at with this. You don't need a whole section for every topic of railroading, but your missing one Narrow Gauge Railroading. I am not trying to mean, it just takes me 3 minutes to scroll the whole page, I think it would be more user friendly so people didn't have to go back and click every Category. I think 10 max is enough.

Hi, I've this problem in accessing the subfolder in my Unix Server via FTP using VB 2005. I was able to connect with its home folder. But when I will try to go into its subfolder, the server will return an error "<550> file unavailable". If I use 3rd Party FTP Client, there is no problem at all. Any thoughts?

Generally we are using the following code to update using ADODB

Sir, I am doing a project of Multi-Level marketing website using ASP and MS-Access. (not ASP.NET)

There is a Downline Page where it show downline members of a specific members

for ex. (table : member )

if i want to view the downline of 1001 it will show all record data of as it is the root.

if i want to view downline of 1002
1005,1006,1009 will be return as they are co-related data.

but the problem is when I am doing "select * from member where ref_id='" & ref_id & "' "
it returns only the first level i.e.1002,1003 & 1004. But I want all the inter-related data together, If 1002 or 1003 or 1004 has any further downline.

The table structure may need to be change.

As I am new to this I heartly pray for a kind help from all my seniors and experts.

I'm trying to develop a script that will check to see if a screensaver is enabled, and if not, set it to the default Windows XP screensaver. So far, I've assembled quite a conglomeration of code using different sources, and I've worked out several errors, but this particular one I can't quite get past:

Winsock problem with loading new sockets

Well here is my problem. My chat program everytime a new connection request comes in, loads a new socket and then accepts the connection. The problem that im having is that it loads more than one socket but only connects one. So when someone leaves or disconnects the socketcount is wrong. Here is my code for winsock1_connectionrequest

Hi all, havent been here in a while LOL. Anyways like the subject description says, I'm new to Winsock (I made a move from DirectPlay7) and have just had a quick look at a few tutorials around. I noticed that Winsock 6 allows specifically client-server networking, but since I'm also new to network programming aswell, I have a lot to learn here.

Firstly, would I be correct in stating that the server must be running for clients to successfully connect? Anything otherwise would result in an error?

Next, I noticed that the clients must connect to a Remote Host IP and a Remote Host Port. I understand what an IP is (like the rest of mankind) but I'm somewhat confused about this "Port" idea. What is meant by this, and how can a Port be identified?

Lastly, can a client and a server be running on the same computer?

I've recently completed a successful revamping on a website for a company. The next challenge is that they have multiple online applications done in Javascript, ASP and Visual Basic. Over the years these applications have been added on and there are up to 1,000 users. Currently clients must enter different login/pwds for every application. Now that we've completed the redesign and new structure, they've put me on a mission to fix this syndrome of multiple logins.

Does anyone know of a solution to make it so all clients can have one login/pwd for all applications?

hello all!
I have spent the last year working on a cataloging program for a card game I play and recently I tried to add in a small chat window and other functions using the TCPlistener and TCPClient functions. I can successfully run two copies on my local machine with one as a client and one as a server, however, I can't get it to work over the internet. Both parties are using connections with IP's that are always the same, (not assigned on login), and we both turned our firewalls off and still nothing. Can these functions be used between two home pc's over internet connections or does a real server somewhere have to be involved?
I made the non-chat functions run off of the chat stream so will I end up having to use some kind of text-parsing script or go between for this to happen? Right now I don't seem to have any issues with running this over a home network, but even with the router taken out and the cable modem only I can't seem to make an outside connection to another copy of the program. Is there a way to enable a certain port number to accept incoming information or is my ISP blocking this?
Any information on these things would be greatly appreciated as I've written almost 300,000 lines of code total and really want this program to work!

UNUSUAL PROBLEM

Hi,

I am working on a software in VB.Net where I am dynamically making .Htm files.
The .Htm file consists of an embedded excel sheet (pre-formatted) which should automatically adjust the height of the cells, depending on the length of data inserted.
Now, Mozilla shows me the complete stuff with the formatting.
But the IE refuses to change the format, no matter what I do.

I am attaching a text file which contains the HTML code.
If you rename the text file to .Htm, and open it up with Mozilla, you will notice that it shows you the complete stuff.
However, with IE, the embedded cell size does not change.

I don't know if there is anything that could be done.
Please let me know at the earliest.

I have created a VB Script file that runs when the user logs in, and writes the username and date & time to a log file. The vbs file as well as the log file is a network location that contains more than 3 users. I would like to know what would happen if more than one user logs in at the same time? Will it write the details of both users concurrently to the log file?

VB.NET Soap Method Not Exposed

I am writting a program that communicates with Amazon Seller services. One of the tasks involved is the uploading and downloading of XML documents containting order information. Below is the example source code provided by Amazon for vb.net. I finally got most of the code working, but I am stuck on one issue. A method is not exposed that should be. The Attachments method is not available for the RequestSoapContext method. I am at a loss as to why this might be the case. Unfortunately the documentation and support from Amazon is pretty much nonexisting. There was a post regarding this on the Amazon Developer Forum, but it did not fix my problem. They post stated that the issue was with Web Services 2.0 not being installed correctly. They suggested that I uninstall Web Services 2.0 and reinstall selecting the Developer option. This didn't corrrect the problem. Below is the sample code that I'm trying to get to work. Any help or ideas in this would GREATLY be appreciated. This is my first Soap project so I'm kinda at a loss as to what could be causing my problem of the Attachment method not getting exposed.

Winsock Problem

I have running a client server application made by my self to my computers and my friends computer. all are connected through LAN (DHCP Server). If the server shuts down even for a minute DHCP server changes IP automatically. but the Local IP of winsock remain same. that is why I cannot connect my application.

Could you help me on how could i communicate to a telnet?

Actually, i already have a code that receive message from a telnet.

But i cant reply to the telnet.

Let's say for example a DOS command would go like this :

telnet localhost 8080

Then my already running VB code would respond accept the connection

and then let's say i want to respond to telnet with the

following message : "Welcome!".

How could i send the aforementioned message that would be seen on my telnet screen on DOS?

Any ideas?
