This kind of thing is usually taken care of with a setup package. If that is the case exe will more than likely it will fail to run properly because you have not installed all the dependencies along with the exe. You need to create a setup package to install your exe on new machines. VB comes with the Package and Deployment Wizard which can be used to do this. It isn't the greatest installer but can be used in a pinch.
